Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our senior living community in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform maintenance and housekeeping duties around grounds, buildings, equipment and vehicles, completing service requests in a timely, cost-efficient manner.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, the ability to be on call, and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• One year maintenance experience required.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled hours.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around community grounds as assigned.
• Execute routine maintenance requests for repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles.
• Carry out tasks such as wall/floor repairs, furniture repair, basic plumbing, minor electrical work, appliance repair, painting and refurbishing, and HVAC/refrigeration and flooring maintenance.
