Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for the Heritage Woods of Gurnee campus. This part-time, first-shift role supports safety and upkeep, including preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

You will respond to requests promptly, perform exterior tasks, and participate in fire drills while engaging residents with warmth, compassion, and dignity in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical is required.
• Prior senior living experience is desired.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and environment.
• Maintains a preventative maintenance program for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and equipment.
• Completes maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Performs exterior maintenance duties and participates in fire and disaster drills with residents and staff.
