Job summary

Sagora Senior Living in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping the community well maintained and safe for residents. This role covers general maintenance tasks across all community areas, from light carpentry to HVAC and preventative tasks.

Qualifications

• 6 months of work experience in residential maintenance.
• Experience with sheet rock, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and related maintenance tasks.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as requested by the Maintenance Director, including light fixtures, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Maintain community areas, grounds, parking, and equipment such as HVAC, appliances, and tools.
• Keep preventative maintenance records and use the work order system to track repairs.
• Conduct daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to promote safety.
• Assist with maintenance of service equipment, power tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Participate in after-hours on-call and other duties as assigned by management.
