Job summary

Milestone Retirement in Oregon is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead all maintenance, repair, and upkeep across our communities. You’ll supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety, building, and regulatory standards to provide safe, well-maintained living spaces for residents.

This role starts at a wage of $25 per hour and requires strong leadership, budget and schedule management, and a focus on teamwork in a senior living

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s strongly preferred.
• Minimum three years maintenance experience with proven management ability.
• Valid State Driver’s License for vehicle travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for community systems.
• Conduct quarterly property walk-throughs and coordinate with vendors.
• Prioritize and complete work orders in compliance with standards and safety rules.
• Ensure building codes, OSHA, EPA, SDS and fire regulations are met.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate, and potentially terminate staff.
• Schedule and monitor staff labor within budget parameters.
• Inspect apartments for move-in/move-out readiness and perform touch-ups.
• Maintain exterior, landscaping, snow removal, and waste management.
• Manage inventory of supplies, parts, and equipment.
