Job summary

Milestone Retirement is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead maintenance, repair, and upkeep across our communities. You’ll supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety and regulatory standards are met to provide safe living spaces for residents.

This role requires at least three years of maintenance leadership, strong communication, and a proven ability to manage budgets and schedules while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in maintenance with proven management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety, building, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and staff priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for community systems (HVAC, alarms, generators, kitchen equipment).
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to address maintenance needs.
• Prioritize and complete work orders within company standards and budgets.
• Hire, coach, train, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Inspect apartments for move-in/move-out readiness and maintain property exterior and landscaping.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
