Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director for our Arvada community. The role oversees maintenance and housekeeping across the building, staff supervision, and coordination of safety and preventive maintenance programs.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with on-call coverage as needed. The ideal candidate has strong maintenance experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year minimum of related experience preferred.
• Must have ability to read and interpret documents and follow safety rules.
• Must have driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair toilets, unclog drains and toilets, replace fixtures and leaks.
• Replace and clean filters in HVAC units and related systems.
• Repair windows, doors, locks, and hardware.
• Repair appliances and miscellaneous equipment.
• Install or repair handrails, lighting and wiring.
• Schedule, supervise and train maintenance/housekeeping staff.
• Respond to emergency calls and maintain grounds and building exterior.
• Keep workshops organized and manage spare parts and tools.
• Oversee snow/ice removal and ensure infection control practices.
