Job summary

Friendship Village is hiring a Laundry Aide in St. Louis to help keep residents' clothing and linens clean. The role supports a welcoming environment and requires a day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) with rotating weekends/holidays.

Duties include sorting, operating laundry equipment, packaging clean laundry, labeling items, receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe laundry room. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required) and

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of hospitality and customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens, towels, clothing, and other laundry items by color, size, and material.
• Operate and load/unload commercial laundry equipment.
• Prepare and package clean laundry for delivery to residents.
• Create laundry tags with resident information.
• Stock laundry supplies and maintain the laundry room.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
