Job summary

Pioneer Ridge, the premier independent living community in Mckinney, is hiring a kitchen helper to support dishwashing, meal service, and room tray delivery. The role is a universal position crossed trained in other duties by the Community Executive Chef.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old with basic cleaning and sanitation knowledge and must follow Hawthorn Senior Living procedures to maintain high standards in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash and store dishes; help serve meals and clear dishes.
• Assist in bussing, serving, and delivery of room trays if needed.
• Set tables in the dining room and assist chefs in cleaning areas and equipment.
• Complete dishwasher temperature logs as required.
• Work as part of the food services team to ensure smooth, safe kitchen operation.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation practices and treat residents with dignity and respect.
