Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living is hiring a Kitchen Helper. The role involves preparing, washing, and storing dishes, assisting in dining service, and supporting kitchen operations in a busy senior living community.

You will work as part of a team under the Community Executive Chef to maintain high sanitation and service standards. Key responsibilities include adhering to Hawthorn procedures, ensuring timely dishroom operations, and supporting chefs with cleaning tasks while maintaining residents'

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, and store dishes following Hawthorn Senior Living procedures.
• Clean dishwashing area following Hawthorn Senior Living sanitation procedures.
• Assist Chefs/Cooks in cleaning food serving areas and equipment, sweeping and mopping of floors and complete assigned cleaning duties.
• Work as part of the food services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
• Adhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures.
