Job summary

The Avalon of Lewis Center is hiring a hospitality-focused Line Cook to join our Community Culinary Services team. You will perform full-scope production cooking, ensuring quality, safety, and timely meal service for residents.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and one year of restaurant or senior living cooking experience. Pay range is $18–$20 per hour, with sign-on bonus for full-time after 90 days. Open interviews weekly and benefits vary by status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience.
• Experience in producing and serving menu cycle programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organizational efficiency.
• Maintain high quality, appearance and presentation of meals.
• Prepare and serve menu cycles meeting nutritional/dietary standards per policy.
• Demonstrate speed, accuracy and efficiency in cooking tasks.
• Assist with serving meals and ware washing as needed.
