Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a full-time cook to prepare meals for residents and guests in a senior living environment. The role requires adhering to menus, recipes and event plans while maintaining quality and presentation.

You will collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service, manage portions, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. A minimum of three years line cook experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of three years of line cook experience or training.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent or technical school completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests and employees.
• Follow planned menus using standard recipes and portion controls.
• Plate food items with garnishing and presentation in mind.
• Assist other kitchen staff and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, proper cooking status and seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock, clean and organize the station for the next shift.
