Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Cook/Culinary Assistant to join our dining services team. This position supports meal prep, service, and a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with residents and staff.
• Good communication skills for working with residents and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Basic math skills for tasks such as portioning and tallying.
• Selected candidates will be required to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and assist cooking all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
• Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
