Job summary

CareOne at Newton is hiring a Cook to join our culinary team. Per diem and part-time shifts available in Newton, MA. The role focuses on preparing meals that meet safety standards and resident preferences.

You will cook a variety of foods in large quantities, follow established menus, and work under the Head Cook and Director of Food Services. High school diploma and English proficiency required; one year of dietary or healthcare food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility, preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with policies and procedures and regulatory standards.
• Cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Assist Head Cook and Director of Food Services as directed to ensure quality food service.
