Job summary

Provision Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to ensure quality food preparation and dining experiences for residents, reporting to the Executive Chef/Dining Manager. You will prepare meals, assist with service, and uphold safety and sanitation standards while supporting a collaborative team.

Qualifications include 2–4 years of experience, strong cooking skills across techniques, knife proficiency, and ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in food preparation.
• Exceptional knowledge of multiple cooking techniques including baking, sauté, fry, sauces, and cold food prep.
• Knife skills and ability to follow recipes with precise measurements.
• Understand and apply proper food handling techniques.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Appreciation of seniors and understanding of aging processes.
• Able to obtain ServSafe Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Cook and bake.
• Help with serving meals and maintaining a clean work area.
• Support catering, room service, special party needs, and marketing functions.
• Take drink and food orders.
• Sanitize, set and bus tables.
• Maintain food inventories and control costs.
• Know resident dining needs and follow safety regulations.
• Complete daily kitchen/dining room checklists.
• Follow all Dining Service Department policies.
• Assist with Sales/Marketing procedures to boost satisfaction.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
