Includes a $500 sign-on bonus; experience in assisted living is preferred. Flexible schedule; may work weekends and holidays. Bay Breeze Care is an ARF catering to adults with mental health needs in Long Beach.

Qualifications

• DOJ FBI live scan background clearance required by Community Care Licensing.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an assisted living environment preferred.
• Flexible scheduling; may include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents in the community.
• Ensure dietary needs are met and texture-modified foods prepared as directed.
• Maintain records, food safety, and risk management compliance.
• Train new kitchen staff on cooking routines and procedures.
• Follow menu and maintain portion control as directed by the dietitian.
• Order, receive, verify and sign for groceries and deliveries.
• Maintain facility food budgets and ensure proper handling of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Attend monthly in-services and staff meetings with proper documentation.
• Be aware of individual resident preferences, dislikes, and health restrictions.
• Supervise food production for quality of products and service.
• Enforce kitchen cleaning schedules to meet safety and health standards.
