Job summary

Monarch Communities in Livingston, NJ seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor who reports to the Maintenance Director. This is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position. You will supervise the housekeeping team, manage daily assignments, ensure cleanliness and safety, control supplies and equipment, and comply with OSHA, state, and company policies.

Prior cleaning experience and strong reliability are required. The role offers health benefits, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in cleaning.
• Ability to communicate with residents.
• Dependable and responsible.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all areas to ensure the building is clean, sanitary, and safely maintained.
• Assign daily tasks to housekeeping team members and perform spot checks.
• Ensure supplies are on hand and ordered within budget.
• Provide housekeeping services in resident apartments (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, bathrooms, trash, linens).
• Keep common areas clean and sanitized as assigned.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations.
• Maintain organized housekeeping storage areas.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director.
• Report safety issues immediately (broken glass, leaks, locks, toilets, etc.).
• Attend in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies.
