Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Community, including resident apartments, with a courteous and friendly approach.

Responsibilities include housekeeping of common areas and apartments, food service support, and adherence to sanitation guidelines. Prioritizes resident comfort and safety in a supportive senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Provide general housekeeping for Community and resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning entryways, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and apartments.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change beds and linens, and ensure adequate linen supplies.
• Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens in the provided facilities.
• Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures.
• Greet residents and guests at tables, take orders, and serve meals and desserts.
• Return cart to kitchen, assist with storage of perishable items, and deliver trays if needed.
• Bus and clear dishes, reset tables with proper sanitizing procedures.
• Complete side work (sugar, creamers, coffeemaker) and perform other duties as assigned.
