Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the Community interior and residents’ apartments in a clean, sanitary, and friendly manner.

You will perform general housekeeping, including cleaning common areas, dining rooms, hallways, and resident rooms, while ensuring comfort and safety for residents. Key duties include laundering linens, deep cleaning as needed, and supporting server duties during meals.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators (as needed), check heat system filters, change bed linens, turn mattress with assistance, and ensure adequate linen supplies.
• Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder linens by washing and drying in on-site facilities.
• Greet residents and guests, take orders, and serve meals and beverages from the cart.
• Return cart to kitchen, assist with storage of perishable items, and deliver trays to resident rooms if needed.
• Bus and clear dishes from tables, reset for next meal following sanitizing procedures, and perform related side work (sugar, creamer, coffeemaker).
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
