Job summary

The Hawthorn Retirement Group in Maynard, MA is seeking a friendly universal worker to clean resident apartments and community areas, and to help with dining room service as directed.

You will be cross-trained in other roles, follow Hawthorn procedures, and communicate clearly with residents and staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all residents.

Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties following sanitation standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents in care and cleaning of their apartments.
• Ability to present meal options to residents and guests.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments according to Hawthorn guidelines (vacuum, dust, bathrooms, kitchen areas).
• Clean community common areas (dust, vacuum, mop, restrooms) per schedule.
• Serve meals at tables, take orders, deliver to kitchen, and assist with dining room duties.
• Maintain supplies, assist with setting tables, and ensure dining areas are tidy.
