Job summary

Providence Community Housing is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to maintain properties in the Greater New Orleans area, with a special focus on senior residents. The role involves daily groundskeeping, light maintenance, and keeping buildings, sidewalks, and parking areas clean and safe.

You will work with the maintenance team to address resident needs, replace bulbs, monitor lighting, and use supplies responsibly while wearing protective gear.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining grounds and light maintenance.
• Ability to work daily with seniors.
• Reliable, adaptable and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to undergo drug and background checks as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident apartments and property maintenance needs.
• Inspect all grounds, buildings, parking lot and front sidewalks for cleanliness and safety.
• Check lights and replace bulbs as needed.
• Use all supplies cautiously and wear protective gear.
• Assist maintenance staff with other duties such as make-ready(s).
