Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN seeks a Facilities and Grounds Maintenance worker for 8-hour day shifts, full-time seasonal through September. You will maintain outdoor areas, perform snow removal, operate basic heavy machinery, and assist with minor interior tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Trade school or vocational school courses in landscaping, horticulture, forestry or park management.
• Six months experience working with lawn care equipment.
• May require State Commercial Applicators License and/or Certification.
• May require current valid driver’s license and must meet medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the organization’s grounds and perform outdoor maintenance, snow removal, equipment work and basic tree trimming.
• May assist with inside maintenance and basic electrical, plumbing, painting, electronics, masonry, carpentry, welding and landscape tasks.
• Operate equipment for dirt work and snow removal, and use hand and power tools, including light and heavy-duty machinery.
• May assist with parking lot repairs, sprinkler systems and assessments on grounds, and assist with occasional seasonal shuttle duties.
