Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a full-time maintenance worker to perform preventive maintenance on the facility and equipment at Souris Valley Care Center. The role includes painting, cleaning, and maintaining both interior and exterior surfaces, as well as grounds upkeep to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Day shifts, 8 hours, with responsibilities spanning housekeeping-related tasks, equipment repairs, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior experience may not be required to be hired.
• Basic ability to communicate and comprehend.
• Must be able to operate lawn mower, lawn equipment and snow removal

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on facility and equipment.
• Completes repairs as needed/requested.
• Keeps work and storage rooms, garage/shed, tools and supplies organized and clean.
• Keeps building and grounds free of garbage and debris.
• Paints, patches or repairs interior surfaces; maintains floors and surfaces.
• Maintains lawn and exterior plantings.
