Good Samaritan – Woodland is a 42-bed long‑term skilled care and transitional care facility located in Brainerd, Minnesota, in an area known as "The Heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area". Facility: Gss Mn Brainerd Wdld. Location: Brainerd, MN. Address: 100 Buffalo Hills Ln W, Brainerd, MN 56401, USA. Shift: 8 Hours – Day Shifts. Job Schedule: Full time. Weekly Hours: 32.00. Salary Range: $15.00 – $17.00. Pay Info: $5,000 Sign‑on Bonus!

• Full Time – 64 Hours a bi‑weekly pay period
• Day Shift – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Rotating Weekends and Holidays
• Additional weekend incentive of $1.25 an hour

Job Summary

Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas for patients/residents, visitors and associates by following infection control, safety and procedural guidelines. Tasks include emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors using brooms, mops, or powered machines. The Technician demonstrates knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools and techniques in a healthcare setting to provide a clean and sterile environment. Responsibilities cover patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas to meet health standards. Wear proper protective equipment, keep storage, equipment and carts well‑stocked, clean and tidy. Environmental Services Technicians use pagers and other technology as required. Assist in the laundry areas as appropriate.

Physical activities include considerable use of arms and legs and moving of the whole body; such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, twisting, squatting, and handling materials. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40‑50 lbs and push/pull variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps. The position requires standing for most of the shift. Exposure to certain noise levels from equipment may occur. Hours may vary by patient/resident needs and may include overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful. Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
