Job summary

Cedarhurst of Springfield is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to ensure a safe, clean, and well‑maintained living environment for residents. You will perform timely maintenance across interior, exterior, and grounds, helping keep apartments ready for move-ins and supporting emergency responses.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and maintenance training. CPR/BLS certification is preferred; strong carpentry and technical skills are essential; team collaboration is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited maintenance training program may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Applicable state license(s), as required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas inside the building to high cleanliness standards and perform routine/deep cleaning as needed.
• Assist with exterior grounds maintenance and coordinate with contractors.
• Implement and document a preventative maintenance program.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for move-ins, including painting and flooring work.
• Maintain fire safety records and respond to emergencies and system issues.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and keep quality assurance records.
• Document tasks and turnovers using building management software.
• Perform repairs on janitorial equipment and facilities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff; escalate as needed.
• Stay current on training and safety policies; comply with HIPAA and other standards.
