Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community in Maplewood, MN, is seeking an Environmental Services Director to lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. This hands-on role manages preventive maintenance, responds to on-call emergencies, and collaborates with vendors while upholding Cassia’s service standards.

Qualifications

• Boilers License is required.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and interact professionally with residents, family, staff, leadership and contractors.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to lead/supervise and organize departmental goals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Previous experience in senior housing preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance, laundry and housekeeping; direct routine maintenance repairs and projects and respond to resident/staff maintenance requests.
• Schedule preventive maintenance programs for major equipment and ensure good operating condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies; perform routine repairs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
• Serve on Safety Committee, managing records and reviewing surveys.
• Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure safety of residents and staff.
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.
• Complete heavy janitorial/maintenance work as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
