• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and interact professionally with residents, family, staff, leadership and contractors.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to lead/supervise and organize departmental goals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Previous experience in senior housing preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance, laundry and housekeeping; direct routine maintenance repairs and projects and respond to resident/staff maintenance requests.
• Schedule preventive maintenance programs for major equipment and ensure good operating condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies; perform routine repairs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
• Serve on Safety Committee, managing records and reviewing surveys.
• Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure safety of residents and staff.
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.
• Complete heavy janitorial/maintenance work as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community, has a rare opening for an Environmental Services Director to lead our team. As the Environmental Services Director, you'll oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations; manage preventative maintenance programs; and respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies as needed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on supervisor with a Boiler's License, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.
Position Type:Full-Time
Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Monday- Friday) including on-call for emergencies
Pay Range: $68,000 - $72,000 depending on experience
Location:1438 County Road C East, Maplewood, MN 55109

Environmental Services Director Responsibilities:
