Job summary

Ciel Senior Living in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our facilities management team. The Director will oversee maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across our properties, ensuring safety and compliance while managing staff and budgets.

The role requires five years in maintenance, two years supervisory experience, knowledge of senior housing regulations, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of maintenance experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of senior housing and state regulations.
• Valid and applicable state driver’s license and no major driving violations for the past three (3) years.

Responsibilities

• Hires, evaluates, coordinates, motivates, monitors performance, schedules, and supervises department staff in accordance with company policy and state law.
• Coordinates maintenance and housekeeping services and activities with other departments.
• Ensures that the building and grounds are always clean and tour-ready.
• Maintains a preventive maintenance program for equipment and systems including HVAC, elevators, and electrical.
• Coordinates with outside contractors for bids and scheduling of special projects; tracks expenditures.
