Job summary

The Virginian by Cogir is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to lead daily dining operations in our senior living community. You will train staff, coordinate with the Executive Chef and Dining Leadership, and ensure a memorable dining experience for residents.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills, with prior upscale dining and supervisory experience. Flexibility for shifts including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food handler/SERVE Safe certification or ability to obtain.
• 4+ years of full-cycle food service in upscale dining.
• 2+ years of supervisory/front-of-house management preferred.
• Experience in senior living is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with leadership and guest-service focus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all front-of-house dining staff.
• Ensure resident satisfaction with a top-notch dining experience.
• Train dining room staff and prepare weekly schedules.
• Maintain budget controls and inventory for dining operations.
• Coordinate events and special dining experiences.
• Manage dining room supplies and equipment inventories.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and Cogir standards.
• Cover shifts due to call-offs and maintain a safe work environment.
