Job summary

Waltonwood in Charlotte, NC seeks an Executive Director to lead a senior living community, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring exceptional care and service for residents. The ED liaises with staff, residents, families, vendors and state regulators, reporting to the Regional Director of Operations as part of the Administrative team.

The Administrative Department sustains smooth operations, resident happiness and safety across departments, with a focus on leadership, teamwork and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in General Business, Management, Health Administration, or related field is required.
• 5+ years of executive management experience in a senior living setting preferred.
• Certified Assisted Living Director or equivalent per state requirements.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.
• Able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all community departments, ensuring resident, family and staff satisfaction.
• Lead and manage department heads, staffing, onboarding and performance management.
• Motivate associates to perform at a high level across the community.
• Collaborate with Regional Director of Operations on total quality management.
• Meet residents and families to discuss and resolve concerns and preferences.
• Maintain compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Prepare budgets and monitor revenue, NOI, occupancy and KPIs.
• Lead sales activities, conduct tours, and build rapport with residents.
• Maintain property standards and move-in readiness.
• Utilize property management, payroll, talent management and scheduling software.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Operations.
