Job summary

Platinum Communities seeks a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being for residents. The role focuses on creating engaging experiences that foster dignity and independence.

You will develop monthly calendars, organize outings, partner with dining and nursing teams, document participation, and ensure compliance with policies while fostering a caring community.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Valid driver’s license if required.
• Creative and compassionate with a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead a variety of individual and group activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Develop monthly activity calendars reflecting resident interests, culture, and seasonal events.
• Coordinate outings, entertainment, educational opportunities, and volunteer involvement.
• Encourage resident participation while accommodating individual abilities and preferences.
• Foster relationships with residents to understand interests, histories, and goals.
• Adapt programs to meet physical and cognitive needs of all residents.
• Partner with dining, nursing, and administration to integrate activities into community life.
• Communicate upcoming events to residents, families, and staff.
• Build and maintain community partnerships to enhance programming opportunities.
• Maintain accurate attendance, participation, and feedback records.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies regarding resident activities.
• Monitor activity budgets and submit purchase requests for supplies and expenses.
