Job summary

Platinum Communities is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive program that meets the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and recreational needs of residents. You will ensure residents enjoy a vibrant lifestyle that promotes well-being, dignity, and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in recreation, social services, or related field preferred.
• Experience in senior living, recreation therapy, event planning or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage individuals with varying physical and cognitive abilities.
• Creative, energetic and compassionate with a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents if required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Develop monthly calendars reflecting resident interests and seasonal events.
• Coordinate outings, entertainment, educational opportunities, and volunteer involvement.
• Encourage resident participation and accommodate individual abilities and preferences.
• Foster relationships to understand residents’ interests, histories, and goals.
• Adapt programs for residents’ physical and cognitive needs.
• Partner with dining, nursing, and administration to integrate activities into community life.
• Communicate upcoming events to residents, families, and staff.
• Build and maintain community partnerships to enhance programming opportunities.
• Maintain records of attendance, participation, and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies for activities.
• Monitor activity budgets and submit purchase requests for supplies and expenses.
