Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a part-time Driver to transport residents and support daily operations. Must have a Class B license or Class C with passenger endorsement. Schedule Thursday–Saturday, 9:00am–4:00pm. Pay range $25.00/hour, non-exempt, benefits for heavy hours.

Responsibilities include safe operation of transportation vehicles, assisting residents, and maintaining accurate vehicle records. Strong customer service and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 3-6 months experience in a driving position preferably with senior adults; understand local streets and destinations; valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to read, write and speak English; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to and from scheduled destinations (doctor appointments, groceries, errands).
• Monitor residents' well-being and report changes to supervisor.
• May train other drivers on safety.
• Maintain records for vehicle maintenance and mileage/gas costs.
• Coordinate mileage with gas expenses; file quarterly reports; record billable hours; comply with Driver/Motor Vehicle guidelines.
