Qualifications

• Experience supervising dining services staff.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation and infection-control practices.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food service and dining staff across meals.
• Be present in dining rooms during full meal service.
• Coordinate special functions and corporate events in food service.
• Attend daily manager stand-up meetings.
• Maintain high sanitation standards in kitchen, dining room, and bistros.
• Order supplies and manage inventory, ensuring necessary items are available.
• Monitor labor costs and optimize staffing within budget.
• Engage with residents to understand food preferences and feedback.
• Maintain records like meal census, diets served, and weekly staffing patterns.
• Hire and train dietary department staff within budget; supervise them.
• Ensure staff know daily specials and preparation methods.
• Review resident diet information with care team for appropriate changes.
• Oversee cleaning procedures for safe, sanitary operations.
