Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, operates senior living communities across California, Nevada, and Hawaii. The Front of House Supervisor - Culinary role oversees dining service, maintains quality and hospitality standards, and supervises staff in accordance with property policies.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses in food service/management preferred.
• Experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred.
• Experience supervising and managing employees preferred.
• Able to operate standard household equipment and a PC with MS Office.
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care concepts helpful.
• Able to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
• Ability to adapt to change, prioritize and make decisions under pressure.
• Must pass background check and health screening including COVID test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dining service to maximize resident enjoyment and ensure consistent, efficient service.
• Assist residents and staff in meal service areas as needed.
• Ensure dining room POS system operates correctly; troubleshoot and train staff.
• Ensure proper serving etiquette and cleanliness in dining areas.
• Oversee cleaning and side-work in dining room and kitchen; assign tasks across shifts.
• Concert with dining staff on seating and table setup; maintain dining room readiness.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment at all times.
• Engage with residents and support orientation and transitions during meals.
• Assist with planning food items for activities, marketing, and special events.
