Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Front of House Supervisor-Culinary in Hawaii. The role oversees dining room service for residents, coordinates staff, and ensures high standards of quality and customer care in all dining areas.

The supervisor will hire, evaluate, schedule, and motivate staff, manage the dining room POS, and monitor compliance with service etiquette. Related certifications and health screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in food service/management preferred.
• Prefer 1 year of restaurant or similar experience.
• Prefer 1 year of supervising and managing employees.
• Able to obtain first aid certification and Food Handler certification.
• Background check and health screening required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the service of meals to ensure resident enjoyment and consistent service.
• Assist residents and servers in meal service areas as needed.
• Ensure dining room POS system operates efficiently and train staff on its use.
• Ensure proper serving techniques and etiquette are followed.
• Supervise cleaning and side work in dining room and kitchen areas; assign side work.
• Chart and assign dining room sections for wait staff when needed.
• Ensure proper setup of dining room tables, utensils, and service items.
• Bus tables and reset dining areas; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Engage with residents to support transitions and comfort during meals.
• Assist with planning food items for activities, marketing, and special events.
