Grand Pines Assisted Living Center in Michigan seeks a Culinary Support team member to provide meals for residents across the Terrace and Courtyard dining areas, with attention to nutrition and snacks around the clock.

You will prepare dining rooms, serve meals, maintain safe food handling, proper labeling and temperatures, and clean after each service while assisting residents with dementia-related needs. This on-site role emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, food preparation, cooking and serving, and cleaning.
• Able to work safely with residents having reduced cognitive functioning.
• Understanding of special considerations for persons having dementia.

Responsabilités

• ALL MEALS: Prepare dining room for residents, clear and clean tables, and maintain sanitary work areas.
• Ensure food or beverages are properly sealed, labeled, dated, and stored.
• Breakfast: prepare and serve made-to-order meals; provide beverages and toast as needed.
• Dinner: transport items, prepare plates, offer seconds and beverages, and manage dessert timing.
• SUPPER: prepare sandwiches and dish up soup as residents arrive.
• SNACKS: assist residents with fruit, baked goods, cheese and crackers, etc.
• OTHER: clean and freshen dining area after each meal, label foods, and seal dry storage.
