Job summary

Oxford Grand at New Market in Wichita, KS is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead culinary operations for our senior living community. You will design menus, manage a team, and ensure meals meet dietary needs while delivering excellent service to residents.

You will oversee budgeting, inventory, and cross-department collaboration to enhance the dining experience. Strong leadership, communication, and a passion for seniors' well-being are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Food Handler’s certification is required.
• Five years of leadership in a food service setting.
• Three or more years preparing meals for large groups.
• Working knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors.
• Formal accredited culinary certification is required.
• Significant culinary experience may substitute for formal education.
• Nutrition certification and/or training is preferred.
• Prior experience as an executive chef in an upscale assisted living community is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop menu according to a scheduled cycle and in coordination with the dietician as needed.
• Track menu changes and food substitutions.
• Observe and communicate with residents for specific preferences and adjust menu accordingly.
• Manage food inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate supply.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and assign tasks to kitchen staff.
• Recruit, training and set expectations for all dining services team members.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to enhance the dining experience for residents.
