Job summary

The Harbor & The Haven in Norwood Young America is seeking a friendly Dining Assistant to provide compassionate food service to residents. You will help with meal prep, setting up dining rooms, serving meals, and washing dishes to support a warm, resident-centered environment.

You should be reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff. Training is provided, and a supportive team emphasizes safety, hygiene, and respectful, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Provides food service to residents and handles dining room setup and cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating meals according to menu and standards.
• Set up dining room, serve meals, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining experience for residents.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of dishware, kitchen tools, and dining areas.
• Follow cleaning protocols and assist with waste disposal and recycling.
• Communicate with residents and respond to dining requests with care and professionalism.
