New Hanover House is seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to oversee all culinary operations, lead a dedicated dietary team, and ensure a high-quality resident dining experience in a senior living setting.

You will plan nutritious menus with clinical input, enforce food safety and regulatory standards, manage inventory and budgets, mentor cooks and nutrition staff, and respond to resident dietary requests with compassion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food service management or related field (preferred).
• CDM certification or eligibility for certification (required).
• 2+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition standards, food safety regulations, and dietary requirements.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day food service operations meeting dietary requirements and health regulations.
• Lead and supervise dietary team; provide training and performance management.
• Respond to dietary requests and concerns to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Plan menus with clinical teams, adhering to nutrition guidelines and special diets.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and conduct kitchen inspections.
• Manage food inventory and budgeting to meet budgets while maintaining quality.
• Promote a safe, sanitary kitchen environment and proper food handling.
• Collaborate to monitor meal quality aligning with residents' health needs.
