Somerset Court of Rocky Mount is seeking an enthusiastic Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to residents.

You will help with meal preparation, serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience while following safety standards. This role emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and strong communication to support our senior residents' well-being and enjoyment of meals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a food service role preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: maintain kitchen/dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup, serving, and dining experience.
• Food safety: follow protocols for storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory support: assist with receiving, storing, and notifying shortages.
• Team collaboration: coordinate with the dietary team to run service smoothly.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and resident preferences.
