Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in food service is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is important.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion and desire to work with the elderly.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, portioning, and serving to residents per dietary plans and requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Support residents during meals and assist with setup and service to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Follow food safety protocols including storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Assist receiving and storing food and supplies; report shortages to the Dietary Manager.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Fulfill special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences during meals.
