Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Culinary Services Supervisor to oversee production for assisted living and long‑term care areas. You will manage staff, schedules, and inventory while ensuring high‑quality meals and adherence to policies and regulations in a home‑like environment.

The role involves developing recipes, preparing regular and therapeutic diets, and assisting with menu planning and staff hiring/training. Full‑time hours are 10:30a–7p with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be an excellent cook, preferably with formal culinary training.
• Knowledge of health care food service regulations.
• Superior supervisory and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing recipes.
• Prepares regular and therapeutic diets.
• Processes and follows resident diet orders.
• Ensures pans are stocked daily.
• Completes daily temperature logs and documentation.
• Acts in absence of the Director of Culinary Services.
• Plans menus and oversees production for the department.
• Involved in interviewing, hiring, training and evaluating staff.
• supervises to ensure meals are served hot and attractive.
