Job summary

Havenwood of Minnetonka is seeking a hospitality-focused Director of Culinary Services to lead the community’s culinary operations. This hands-on role manages a comprehensive program, supervises staff, and ensures top-quality dining aligned with policies and resident needs.

The position offers a full-time schedule with a salary range of $65,000-$73,000 per year and benefits including insurance options, 401k, paid time off, and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (culinary arts) required.
• Recognized food safety course completion required.
• Minimum five years as executive chef or in similar leadership roles.
• Minimum three years in administration and management of food service systems.
• Senior living community experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an upscale culinary services program for a positive resident experience.
• Supervise the Culinary Services Department, hire, plan, assign and direct work, and evaluate performance.
• Plan, develop, produce, and serve menu cycles compliant with nutritional criteria and regulations.
• Meet or exceed budgetary and financial guidelines.
• Perform hands-on cooking, serving and dishwashing as needed.
• Ensure staff are professional, trained, properly uniformed and capable.
• Periodically visit residents to evaluate food service quality and make procedural revisions.
• Support driving top-line revenue and occupancy through engaged staff and sound decisions.
