Job summary

Havenwood of Minnetonka is seeking a Director of Culinary Services to lead a hospitality-forward culinary program in a senior living community. The role is hands-on, managing staff, menus, and budgets while ensuring high standards of food quality and compliance with dietary regulations.

The position requires a culinary degree, a true commitment to senior living environments, and a track record of administrative and culinary leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (in culinary arts program preferred).
• Successful completion of recognized food safety course.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef, chef in a hotel, restaurant, club, or other similar employment.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in administration and management of food service systems.
• Senior living community experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive, professional, and upscale culinary services program to create a positive experience for all customers.
• Supervise the Culinary Services Department and manage staff per policies and laws including interviewing, hiring, planning, directing, and evaluating performance.
• Plan and develop menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional criteria and local regulations.
• Meet or exceed established budgetary and financial guidelines.
• Hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as needed.
