Vitality Living is seeking a Kitchen Cook to support nutrition services for residents. You will review menus, prepare nutritious meals, and ensure timely service in a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

The role requires at least two years of institutional cooking experience, strong English communication, and adherence to food safety standards. You will participate in onboarding and training and help maintain daily production records.

Qualifications

• Two years of institutional or full-service restaurant cooking experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain food handlers permit as required by state regulations.
• Understand food safety procedures and storage techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and Daily Food Production Record for instructions.
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive per menus and physician orders.
• Adhere to all food-related safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure food and supplies are available for meals planned.
• Prepare and serve food attractively and punctually.
• Adhere to procedures for labeling, dating, and storing food.
• Complete leftover logs and clean kitchen after meals.
• Resolve resident food complaints as required.
• Attend onboarding and annual training and team meetings.
• Understand and implement emergency plans including fire and other disasters.
