Vitality is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team in a vibrant community setting. You will review menus, prepare meals that are nutritious and appealing, and strictly follow dietary orders and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, ensuring ingredient availability, and supervising kitchen staff when the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef is away. The role supports dining experiences for residents and visitors with a focus on quality and care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
• Maintain food handlers permit as required by state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and production records.
• Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals according to menus and physician orders.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and portion control procedures.
• Ensure ingredients and supplies are available for meals.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef.
• Attend onboarding and training as requested.
