Job summary

Clearwater Living's Pinnacle Peak community in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Culinary Director to lead Cooks and Dishwashers, crafting scratch-made, high-quality meals for residents, guests and staff. You will shape menus, manage costs and ensure food safety, while delivering outstanding dining experiences in a luxury senior living setting.

You'll supervise kitchen operations, recruit and train staff, uphold health codes, and collaborate with residents to tailor dining programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality or equivalent training.
• 8–10 years of experience in food service.
• 5–7 years of supervisory experience including hiring, training, and budgeting.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification required.
• Ability to drive the community vehicle as needed.
• Background clearances as required by regulations.
• Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Culinary department.
• Supervise production, presentation, and cost of food with a balanced rotating menu.
• Serve as liaison between guests, residents and Culinary staff; ensure clear communication.
• Resolve resident complaints regarding food quality or service.
• Establish a Food Committee or survey residents to gauge preferences.
• Ensure sanitary work environment and compliance with health codes.
• Develop policies to ensure on-time service and proper temperatures.
• Back up Culinary staff as needed.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and proper table settings.
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate and supervise staff; document training.
