Clearwater Pinnacle Peak is seeking a Culinary Director to lead a fast-paced kitchen team at our luxury senior living community in Scottsdale, AZ. The role oversees cooks and dishwashers, ensuring scratch-made, high-quality meals for residents, guests and staff.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in food service, 5–7 years in supervision, and a Bachelor’s in Culinary Arts or Hospitality. ServSafe and First Aid certifications are preferred and driving the community vehicle may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality preferred, or equivalent training with dining operations experience.
• 8–10 years of food service experience.
• 5–7 years of supervisory experience including hiring, training, and budgeting.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• First Aid certification required.

Responsabilités

• Lead, plan, organize, schedule, evaluate and direct the Culinary department.
• Supervise production, presentation and food cost; create a balanced rotating menu.
• Serve as liaison between guests, residents and Culinary staff for clear communication.
• Resolve resident complaints about food quality or service.
• Establish a Food Committee or survey residents to capture preferences.
• Ensure sanitary work environment and compliance with health codes and safety policies.
• Develop policies to ensure timely food readiness and proper temperatures.
• Back up Culinary staff as needed and supervise them.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and proper table settings at all times.
• Recruit, hire, train and motivate staff; manage department budget and documentation.
