Williamsburg Retirement is seeking a kind and dependable Cook to join our dining team. We create scratch-made meals and value a supportive, compassionate environment for residents and families.

You will prepare and serve meals under the Executive Chef, follow menus and safety standards, and help keep the kitchen and dining areas clean. This role emphasizes care, dignity, and teamwork in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler's Permit required.
• TB test or proof of TB test within two weeks of hire.
• Willing to learn, reliable with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals under the direction of the Executive Chef.
• Follow menus, recipes, sanitation standards, and food safety procedures.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized for each service.
• Assist residents during mealtimes and create a pleasant dining experience.
• Communicate concerns about a resident's health or well-being to the Executive Chef or Executive Director.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and treat each person with dignity.
