Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cooking experience in senior living or healthcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion and desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary needs.
• Meal Service: Serve meals timely with quality, portions, and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Keep kitchen clean, sanitary, and well organized.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and staff; assist training.
• Inventory Control: Track supplies and report shortages.
• Resident Engagement: accommodate dietary preferences and requests.
